Jill Schonecker is Director of Clinical Operations and co-founder of Beyond Hospice. Jill is a registered nurse and certified CHAP leader with over 20 years of nursing experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in psychology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from St. Catherine University.
Jill began her career in acute care as a hospital staff nurse before transitioning to hospice, where she has spent the majority of her career providing compassionate end of life care. Over the past four years, she has served in nursing leadership, combining clinical expertise with a commitment to mentoring teams, improving patient care, and supporting families through life’s most challenging moments.
Driven by a lifelong passion for serving others, Jill considers nursing both her profession and her calling. She is deeply committed to ensuring patients receive compassionate, dignified, and person-centered care while supporting families throughout the end of life journey. In addition to her professional work, Jill has dedicated countless hours to community service through organizations including Dorothy Day Center, Open Arms, People Serving People, and Sharing and Caring Hands.
Jill is passionate about leading with compassion, integrity, and excellence, and she considers it a profound privilege to walk alongside patients and their loved ones during one of life’s most meaningful transitions.
